The purpose of this study is that introducing the articles which are about first reading-writing teaching in Tedrisat, Terbiye and Yeni Mekteb journals which were published in II. Constitutional Period with today's first reading-writing teaching data. The method used in this study is historical method. ... journals were evaluated as database. First of all, these articles were turned into today's letters. Later, the data obtained was evaluated by comparison with available first reading-writing teaching literature and the results have tried to put forth. In the study, definitions about what is first reading-writing teaching were mentioned at the beginning of the findings sections. Thoughts on problems of first reading-writing teaching were determined that there were also in II. Constitutional Period and the period's educators stated their opinions in the journals. In the study, it focused on issues such as thoughts about performing first reading-writing teaching as a whole, the appearance of disagreements in education stages and results associated with it, the target audience of teaching and methods to be fallowed for involving the target audience to teaching process, what kinds of recoveries are obtained by students who complete the first reading-writing teaching processes successfully. As a result of research, it is possible to say that conceptual substructure of first reading-writing teaching methods according to the present constructivist approach was revealed and there are lesson samples according to these methods for guidance to teachers in the journals.
