Immunity in Pneumococcus Infections

Carl C. Warden
1912 Journal of the American Medical Association
Since the outcome of this disease depends on so many variable factors quite independent of spécifia treatment, the study of the individual cuho or of a small group of cases affords practically no safe data for generalization. Similarly, conclusions drawn from a collection of case-reports from the literature will be misleading, for favorable cases are more often reported than unfavorable cases.
