Kandelia obovata is a widely distributed species of mangrove in Eastern Asia. In this study, the complete chloroplast genome sequence of K. obovata was assembled and characterised from high-throughput sequencing data. The chloroplast genome was 168,244 bp in length, consisting of large single-copy (LSC) and small single-copy (SSC) regions of 94,869 bp and 20,088 bp, respectively, which were separated by a pair of 26,618 bp inverted repeat (IR) regions. The genome is predicted to contain 129

A long pulse Electron Cyclotron Resonance Heating (ECRH) system is developed on EAST tokamak for plasma heating and current profile tailoring. The ECRH system is designed to operate at 140GHz and to inject 4MW CW power. With respect to the physical objectives of the newly built ECRH system, a quasi-optical launcher is designed to inject 4MW continuous wave into plasma through an equatorial port. Gaussian beams delivered from evacuated corrugation waveguides will be focused and reflected by high

... thermal conductive metal mirrors, and then steered by using push-rod steering mechanism with entire scanning range of ±25° toroidally and over 30° poloidally in plasma cross section. The mirrors are carefully designed with mega watts power handling capability and optimum optical characteristics. The performance of steering mechanism has been tested before installation, an open-loop control system for ECRH launcher has been implemented for required mirror movement and proper polarization between plasma discharges. This paper will present the overall design and progress of the launcher, along with the performance in EAST campaigns. Considerations and possible upgrade of the design features relevant to long pulse operation are discussed.

An improved algorithm is proposed for the reconstruction of singular connectivity from the available pairwise connections during preprocessing phase. To evaluate the performance of the algorithm, an in-house computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code is used in which high-order finite-difference method for spatial discretization running on the Tianhe-1A supercomputer is employed. Test cases with a varied amount of mesh points are chosen, and the test results indicate that the improved singular

Towards "Zero-buffer" Datacenter Networks

In this paper, we investigate the possibility of building a data center network (DCN) with simplified zero-buffer switches. It exposes a stringent requirement to the traffic control scheme to ensure perfect collision-free between packets. We find it is infeasible, if not impossible, to make a large-scale DCN completely zero buffering. We take a step back and propose Fastpod, a new data center architecture that enables zero buffering in pod scale, which can be expanded with buffered devices.

... time synchronization, Fastpod avoids collisions by performing fine-grained centralized control on data packets and coordination-free scheduling on control packets. It leverages an optimistic sending mechanism to reduce the latency overhead induced by the centralized control. Our preliminary simulation results indicate that Fastpod successfully meets the requirement of collision-free in the zero-buffer pod and maintains similar performance with conventional buffered DCN. It follows the trend of simplifying the network by pushing the functionalities to the edge. Fastpod explores an extreme end of the design spectrum and can be treated as a thought experiment to raise discussion in the community of data center networks.

An Al-10Ni-8Y (at.%) alloy was atomized by Ar gas and the morphology, microstructure, thermal stability, phase composition and microhardness of the as-atomized powder were investigated. Most of the powders are spherical in shape, but the surface morphology was different for powder of different size. The cross-section microstructure of powder with size below 15 mm in diameter showed no detailed feature, indicating existence of amorphous phase or nanocrystalline structure. The as-atomized powder

The azo linkage is a prominent chemical motif which has found numerous applications in materials science, pharmaceuticals, and agrochemicals. Described herein is a sustainable heterogeneous-gold-catalyzed synthesis of azo arenes. Available nitroarenes are deoxygenated and linked selectively by the formation of N = N bonds using molecular H 2 without any external additives. As a result of a unique and remarkable synergy between the metal and support, a facile surfacemediated condensation of

Due to their high computational efficiency on a continuous space, gradient optimization methods have shown great potential in the neural architecture search (NAS) domain. The mapping of network representation from the discrete space to a latent space is the key to discovering novel architectures, however, existing gradient-based methods fail to fully characterize the networks. In this paper, we propose an efficient NAS approach to optimize network architectures in a continuous space, where the

... atent space is built upon variational autoencoder (VAE) and graph neural networks (GNN). The framework jointly learns four components: the encoder, the performance predictor, the complexity predictor and the decoder in an end-to-end manner. The encoder and the decoder belong to a graph VAE, mapping architectures between continuous representations and network architectures. The predictors are two regression models, fitting the performance and computational complexity, respectively. Those predictors ensure the discovered architectures characterize both excellent performance and high computational efficiency. Extensive experiments demonstrate our framework not only generates appropriate continuous representations but also discovers powerful neural architectures.

Problematic social networks usage of adolescent is a common concern in the world. Problematic social networks usage is often referred to as "addiction to social networks", "use of pathological social networks" or "overuse of social networks", and the standard concept and definition have not been reached a consensus. The reasonable use of social network has positive significance for promoting the establishment, maintain and development of social relations. However, problematic social networks

... ge has a negative impact on adolescent physical and mental development. A discussion on the problematic social networks usage in adolescent will provide the basis for the intervention research. Future research should clarify the concept and definition of the problematic social networks usage, and use the method of multidimensional perspective to carry out in-depth study on the mechanism of problematic social networks usage, and strengthen the theoretical construction and intervention research on the problematic social networks usage.
