Study On Energy Efficient Operation of Air-conditioning Cooling Water System
2015
Open Electrical & Electronic Engineering Journal
The control logic of frequency adjustment for pump and cooling tower fan has been presented in this paper, based on the operation mode of a chiller with one pump and one cooling tower. Optimum outlet water temperature control of cooing tower has been put forward through analysis and comparison among factors influencing it, based on measured data. A mathematical model of energy consumption has been established under different outdoor wet-bulb temperature and load rate conditions. The optimized

... ntrolling strategy has been obtained after the analysis on energy consumption under two different operational strategies with different number of cooling towers in service. In partial load condition, the best operation mode of cooling water system is the optimal water outlet temperature control system, which aims at the lowest comprehensive system energy consumption. Cooling water system can match the best temperature difference and determine the fan frequency according to optimum outlet temperature automatically. Variable frequency control should be applied to fans; meanwhile, routing maintenance and cleaning is also needed for an even distribution of water and effective use of heat exchange area.
A Single Cycle Inverter Welding Power Control System
2012
Advanced Engineering Forum
Single cycle control technique is applied in the field of welding power which makes waveform control in the various stages of arc and circuit in the welding process respectively based on the characteristics of the welding process. A new welding power control has been put forward which is able to adjust the grid voltage disturbance in a very short time. We choose dual single-ended forward topology as the main circuit and make flux reset for the transformer in each cycle to ensure that the

Optical Microfiber All−Optical Phase Modulator for Fiber Optic Hydrophone
2021
Nanomaterials
In order to meet the needs of phase generated carrier (PGC) demodulation technology for interferometric fiber optic hydrophones, we proposed an optical microfiber all−optical phase modulator (OMAOPM) based on the photo−induced thermal phase shift effect, which can be used as a phase carrier generation component, so as to make the modulation efficiency and working bandwidth of this type of modulator satisfy the requirements of underwater acoustic signal demodulation applications. We analyzed the

... modulation principle of this modulator and optimized the structural parameters of the optical microfiber (OM) when the waist length and waist diameter of OM are 15 mm and 1.4 μm, respectively. The modulation amplitude of the modulator can reach 1 rad, which can meet the requirements of sensing applications. On this basis, the optical fiber hydrophone PGC−Atan demodulation system was constructed, and the simulated underwater acoustic signal test demodulation research was carried out. Experimental results showed that the system can demodulate underwater acoustic signals below 1 kHz.
A Tunable Polarization-Dependent Terahertz Metamaterial Absorber Based on Liquid Crystal
2018
Electronics
In this paper, a tunable polarization-dependent terahertz (THz) metamaterial absorber based on liquid crystal (LC) is presented. The measurement results show that absorption peak is at 239.5 GHz for a TE-polarized wave and 306.6 GHz for a TM-polarized wave, without exerting the bias voltage on the LC layer. An increase in bias voltage affects the orientation of LC molecules and causes redshifted resonant frequencies. By adjusting the bias voltage from 0 to 10 V, frequency tunabilities of 4.7%

... d 4.1% for TE-and TM-polarized waves, respectively, were experimentally demonstrated. Surface current and power loss distribution was analyzed to explain the physical mechanism of the absorber, while the absorption dependence on geometrical parameters and incident angles was also studied in detail. According to the obtained results, the proposed absorber is shown here to be capable of achieving tunable polarization-dependent absorption, and to have potential application in terahertz polarization imaging, terahertz sensing, and polarization multiplexing.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation for Patients with Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)
2020
Chronic Diseases and Translational Medicine
As a highly infectious respiratory tract disease, coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) can cause respiratory, physical, and psychological dysfunction in patients. Therefore, pulmonary rehabilitation is crucial for both admitted and discharged patients of COVID-19. In this study, based on the newly released pulmonary rehabilitation guidelines for patients with COVID-19, as well as evidence from the pulmonary rehabilitation of patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome, we investigated

Image sparsity evaluation based on principle component analysis
2013
Wuli xuebao
In compressive sensing, signal sparsity is an important parameter which influences the number of data sampling in reconstruction process and the quantity of the reconstructed result. But in practice, undersampled and oversampled phenomenon will occur because of the unknown sparsity, which may lose the advantages of compressive sensing. So how to determine the image sparsity quickly and accuratly is significant in the compressive sensing process. In this paper, we calculate the image sparsity

... ed on the data acquired during compressive sensing recontruction projection which sparses the origin image in wavelets domain, but we find that its procession is complex, and the final results are seriously influenced by wavelet basis function and the transform scales. We then introduce the principle component analysis (PCA) theory combined with compressive sensing, and establish a linear relationship between image sparsity and coefficient founction variance based on the assumption that PCA is of approximately normal distribution. Multiple sets of experiment data verify the correctness of the linear relationship mentioned above. Through previous analysis and simulation, the sparsity estimation based on PCA has an important practical value for compressive sensing study.
