Towards this end, we devise a pre-training architecture with an image encoder, a text encoder and a cross-modal encoder, as well as three pretext tasks: image-text contrastive learning (ITC), masked language modeling (MLM) and word-in-image prediction (WIP). The pre-trained model is able to produce more informative representations with richer semantics, which could readily benefit existing scene text detectors (such as EAST and PSENet) in the down-stream text detection task. Extensive experiments on standard benchmarks demonstrate that the proposed paradigm can significantly improve the performance of various representative text detectors, outperforming previous pre-training approaches. The code and pre-trained models will be publicly released.
A quantum cascade (QC) laser-based spectrometer is developed to measure trace gases in air. The proposed spectrometer is tested for N2O, and the results presented in this letter. This system takes advantage of recent technology in QC lasers by utilizing intra-pulse scan spectroscopy, which allows high sensitive measurement. Without calibration gases, the gas concentration can be calculated with scan integration and the corresponding values from the HITRAN04 database. Consequently, previous solutions either use heuristics, which do not guarantee result quality, or rely on the strong computing power of modern data centers, which is costly. Motivated by this, we propose effective index-free and index-based algorithms for approximate PPR processing, with rigorous guarantees on result quality. We first present FORA, an approximate SSPPR solution that combines two existing methods Forward Push (which is fast but does not guarantee quality) and Monte Carlo Random Walk (accurate but slow) in a simple and yet non-trivial way, leading to both high accuracy and efficiency. Further, FORA includes a simple and effective indexing scheme, as well as a module for top-k selection with high pruning power. Extensive experiments demonstrate that the proposed solutions are orders of magnitude more efficient than their respective competitors. Notably, on a billion-edge Twitter dataset, FORA answers a top-500 approximate SSPPR query within 1 second, using a single commodity server.

more »... is to explore the application of mathematical intelligent computing in computer intelligent manufacturing system. For this reason, this paper uses the furnace temperature control model to carry out simulation experiment. In this simulation experiment, three algorithms of mathematical intelligent computing are mainly used, including BPES intelligent computing method, genetic algorithm, and MARS algorithm. The research results show that the superparameter optimization based on MARS has high efficiency, and the best result, the worst result, the average result, the variance, and the average time of multiple independent runs are controlled below 0.03 s. In this experiment, when the hidden layer node is 9, the prediction error value is the smallest, and the model simulation curve is basically consistent with the measured curve trend. In the simulation experiment of this paper, these three algorithms have shown good results in their respective links.
Stigma and ovule initiation is essential for sexual reproduction in flowering plants. However, the mechanism underlying the initiation of stigma and ovule primordia remains elusive. 1] Based on recent satellite observations, we hypothesize that there exists a significant air-sea interaction at the shelfbreak front in the East China Sea.
