2001 Modern Pathology
A 45-year-old woman with a long-standing diagnosis of tuberous sclerosis (TSC) is presented. She has multifocal micronodular pneumocyte hyperplasia (MMPH) and lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) of the lung, together with the detection of TSC2 gene mutation. During surgery for spontaneous pneumothorax, an open-lung biopsy was performed. Micronodules were well defined, measuring approximately 4 mm in diameter. These MMPHs were histologically composed of papillary proliferation of Type II pneumocytes,
more » ... with positive immunoreactivity of keratin and surfactant apoprotein. The cystlike spaces, with dilatation and destruction of air spaces, were diffusely formed, and the walls were composed of the spindle cells. Such LAM showed positive immunoreactivity for HMB-45 (a monoclonal antibody specific for human melanoma) and tuberin (the gene product of TSC2). On germline mutation analysis using leukocytes of the present patient, a TSC2 gene mutation was confirmed as a deletion of G (or g) on Exon 9 by polymerase chain reaction-single-strand conformational polymorphism. However, no mutation was detected in her son. With microdissection analysis using paraffinembedding lung tissues, LOH of the TSC2 gene preliminarily was detected in a LAM lesion but not in MMPH. It is suggested that MMPH, in addition to LAM, could be another pulmonary lesion in TSC patients and that the detection of TSC2 and/or TSC1 gene could essentially be useful for the pathogenesis of MMPH and LAM in TSC patients. KEY WORDS: Loss of heterozygosity (LOH), Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM), Multifocal micronodular pneumocyte hyperplasia (MMPH), PCR-SSCP, TSC2 gene, Tuberin, Tuberous sclerosis (TSC).

CTM was administered at dose levels of 1 to 3g a day to 77 cases of otorhinolaryngological infections, and the following results were obtained: 1. The effect of the drug was determined in 75 cases . The responders were 3 out of 5 (60.0%) in acute suppurative otitis media, 4 out of 11 (36 .4%) in chronic suppurative otitis media, 39 out of 43 (90.7%) in tonsillitis and peritonsillar abscess and 12 out of 16 (75.0%) in other diseases , a total of 58 out of 75 cases (77.3%). 2. The bacteriological

Also, its antibacterial potency was 2 to 4 times superior in comparison to that of CEZ against isolated bacteria in which MICs were measurable. 3. Side effects which were neither severe nor specific were recognized in 3 out of 77 cases (3 .9%). In the cases with abnormal laboratory values , none was determinable to be attributed to CTM.

2013 Journal of Photopolymer Science and Technology (Fotoporima Konwakai shi)
New resist, under layer, and topcoat materials specific to EUVL was developed and investigated for sub 20 nm hp patterning performance. High Tg resin and high absorption resin were developed and incorporated in to EUV resist. EUV resist including high Tg resin showed good LWR and local CD uniformity (LCDU). EUV resist containing high absorption resin showed higher resist sensitivity. New silicon type under-layer materials with different hydrophobicity were developed for further patterning

EUV top-coat material was developed and examined for EUV resist sensitivity to out of band (OOB) radiation. EUV top-coat suppressed OOB influence and improved lithographic performance. EUV resist containing new materials resolved 15 nm half pitch lines and spaces and 20 nm contact hole patterns.

1983 Transactions of The Japanese Society of Irrigation, Drainage and Reclamation Engineering
This paper presents an attempt to determine the best way to use water in dynamic irrigation. Simulations were carried out using different quantities of water each instance of irrigation (1/3 130, 2/3 I30 and full irrigation) and different soil textures (sand, sandy loam, loam, and clay) to come to an understanding of the mechanism for saving water. A dynamic numerical model, based on the consumption-transport-retention of water, was designed so as to compute the diurnal fluctuation of water

(1) Because of the suppression of water movement and evaporation at dry and wet stages, the amount of evaporation for one year period decreased more when little water was used for irrigation instead of much and when sandy loam and loam were used more than sand and clay.
