Low-noise pavements are used as an effective method of traffic noise mitigation. Low-noise pavements reduce the noise that arises due to interactions between tires and road surfaces (tire/road) via the implementation of three main components: low pavement roughness, negative pavement texture, and a high pavement air-void content. The tire/road noise reduction capabilities of the wearing layer vary depending on the aggregate type, gradation, bitumen and air-void content, and density.

... , the demand for an accurate tire/road noise prediction model has arisen from the design of asphalt mixtures. This paper deals with how asphalt mixture components of the wearing layer influence tire/pavement noise reduction and presents a model for tire/road noise level prediction based on the asphalt mixture composition. The paper demonstrates that the noise reduction level of low-noise asphalt pavements is dependent on the composition of the asphalt mixture. Asphalt wearing layer mixture composition parameters were tested in the laboratory from cores taken from 18 road sections, where acoustic properties were measured using a close-proximity (CPX) method. The proposed linear model is based on the bitumen amount, the air-void content of the mixture and aggregate shape and involves materials that comply with the general requirements for high-quality asphalt mixtures. The model allows for the prediction of the tire/road noise level at the asphalt mixture design stage using asphalt mixture components and volumetric properties. The proposed model is the first stage in the building of a complex model with a much wider range of low-noise asphalts components, pavement profile depth and CPX-value relationships.

The quantitative multiple criteria decision making methods are practical to use in decision support systems. In this paper we analyse the quantitative multiple criteria decision making methods and sensitivity analysis methods usage in decision support systems. Both species of these methods are strongly mathematically based. We take notice of these sensitivity methods for initial data. Monte Carlo method is applied for the generation of initial data. The sensitivity analysis of methods TOPSIS and SAW is presented in this paper.

... tion – 2D CAD and 4D CAD drawings. Research findings have proved that the efficiency of using the 4D model has been doubled given the same time constraints when the evaluating the completeness of the construction object. Research results have also showed that the use of the 4D model helped with completing the construction of the object much faster. A comparison of the results of the participants of two groups has revealed that the use of the 4D CAD model has twice reduced the occurrence of mistakes in the construction process and helped the participants with faster detecting and fixing the errors they made. TOPSIS, SAW and CORPAS multifunctional solution making methods were employed for 2D and 4D ranking during the experiment on 4D efficiency. The findings confirm that the 4D model is more rational, more convenient and efficient than the 2D model regarding all results of statistical and multi criteria analysis.

Pagrindinė šio modelio paskirtis – sujungti trijų sričių sprendimus į vieną bendrą nagrinėjamą variantą. Sukurtas daugiapakopis sprendimo modelis, vaizduojantis galimų alternatyvių derinių aibę. Sprendimų medžio šakos tarpusavyje sujungiamos remiantis esamu konstrukcijų, technologijų ir darbų saugos neatsiejamu ryšiu. Veiksnių sąveikos ir susijungimas turi unikalią įtaką kiekvienam veiksniui. Sistemos veikimas leidžia įvertinti kiekvieno rodiklio sąveikos poveikius, o tai padeda užtikrinti tinkamą konstrukcinių, technologinių ir saugos sprendimų pasirinkimą, sudaro prielaidą įgyvendinti statybos projektus išsaugant žmogaus gyvybę ir užkertant kelią galimiems sveikatos sutrikdymams.
