Synthesis, Characterization and Biocompatibility Studies of Zinc oxide (ZnO) Nanorods for Biomedical Application
2010
Nano-Micro Letters
Nanoparticles are increasingly being recognized for their potential utility in biological applications including nanomedicine. Here, we have synthesized zinc oxide (ZnO) nanorods using zinc acetate and hexamethylenetetramine as precursors followed by characterizing using X-ray diffraction, fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The growth of synthesized zinc oxide nanorods was found to be very close to its hexagonal nature,

... ch is confirmed by X-ray diffraction. The nanorod was grown perpendicular to the long-axis and grew along the [001] direction, which is the nature of ZnO growth. The morphology of synthesized ZnO nanorods from the individual crystalline nucleus was confirmed by scanning and transmission electron microscopy. The length of the nanorod was estimated to be around 21 nm in diameter and 50 nm in length. Our toxicology studies showed that synthesized ZnO nanorods exposure on hela cells has no significant induction of oxidative stress or cell death even in higher concentration (10 μg/ml). The results suggest that ZnO nanorods might be a safer nanomaterial for biological applications. , "Synthesis, characterization and biocompatibility studies of zinc oxide (ZnO) nanorods for biomedical application", Nano-Micro Lett. 2, 31-36 (2010).
Production of Bio Degradable Bags Using cassava Starch
2019
International Research Journal of Multidisciplinary Technovation
Plastic is a material that is used to a great extent. Nowadays Petroleum based plastics are widely used for the commercial purpose. This kind of plastics can take more than a century to degrade. Man made plastics have Polyurethane and Polyethylene polymers. It cannot be easily degraded by micro organisms as it don't recognize as food. When burned plastics release cancer causing carcinogenic chemicals that are harmful to people and the environment. One eco friendly alternative the current

... ial plastic is "Bio plastics". Bio plastics are biodegradable plastics that have components derived directly from renewable raw plant materials. Seven type of bioplastics were made using various combinations of renewable raw materials and plasticizers. In this project, Cassava starch is used as a main biopolymer for the production of bio degradable bags.
STRIDOR IN INFANTS : A STUDY

Journal of Evolution of Medical and Dental Sciences
English
Stridor is a high-pitched noisy breathing produced due to partial obstruction of either larynx or in the trachea. It may also be the first sign of a life threatening disorder. So, stridor in infants should not be overlooked or minimized as an inconsequential finding. Stridor is a distressing symptom to its victims and their parents and presents a diagnostic challenge to the otolaryngologist .The team work of otolaryngologist, pediatrician, anesthesiologist and other specialty people in the

... ation and management of the stridor. The aims of this study is thorough evaluation to uncover the precise underlying causes of stridor in infants. Which in turn helps in the management. In this study total 17 infants with stridor were evaluated for the etiology, and the causes are Laryngomalacia 9cases, Unilateral vocal cord palsy, Bilateral vocal cord palsy, Subglottic web, Subglottic hemangioma each 1 case and the acquired causes are foreign bodies in trachea one and larynx two ,post intubation injury one case.

Zenodo
The purpose of this project is to prevent the vehicle accidents by using an alcohol detector in an effort to reduce traffic accident cases based on driving under the influence of alcohol. This project is developed by integrating the alcohol sensor with the microcontroller. The alcohol sensor used in this project is MQ-3 which is used to detect the alcohol content in human breath. The alcohol content level in blood is detected by the alcohol sensor from the human breath. The ignition system of

... December 2014, accepted 19 December 2014 The present study has been undertaken to prepare sodium carboxy methyl cellulose (NaCMC) capped ZnO NPs, with multifunctional properties. The NaCMC capped ZnO NPs (0.04 mM and 0.08 mM) were prepared by soft chemical method. The prepared NPs were characterized by XRD, FTIR and SEM-EDS, AFM and UV-Vis absorption studies. It was clear from XRD patterns that NPs were crystallized in hexagonal wurtzite structure with average crystalline size 34 nm to 39 nm. The chemical functional groups in FTIR spectra confirmed the formation of the ZnO NPs. The surface morphology of the samples was explored using SEM micrographs and AFM analysis. The presence of Zn and O was confirmed by EDAX analysis. The optical properties of the samples were examined by UV-Vis absorption analysis. The photo degradation activity of the NPs was investigated against methylene orange dye (MO) under sunlight.
