It is well known, that usage of delegation imposes performance penalties in the sense of delayed execution.  ...  But delegation on the level of sourcecode is optimized on bytecode level up to a degree, that imposes much lower performance penalties than expected.  ...  In Java 5 it takes 2,8 milliseconds. The performance penalty introduced by delegation is thus 43% for Java 6 and 39% for Java 5.  ...

The system, implemented as client-server architecture, is based on the Globus Grid middleware. The client side application is based on a java applet; the server relies on a Globus User Interface.  ...  There is no need of user registration on the server side, and the user needs only his own X.509 personal certificate.  ...  By the implementation of mechanism for dynamic delegation directly into the server side portal, the system benefits of an extra improvement in terms of security and a better performance in the time spent  ...

An ideal debugger for a meta-circular VM would be a hybrid: one that uses standard platformindependent debugger interfaces but which also interacts with the execution environment in terms of low-level,  ...  For example, debugging a Java VM written in Java requires understanding execution state at the source code, bytecode and machine code levels.  ...  The Maxine JDWP Server delegates invoke commands on a specific JDWP ID to the corresponding Java object.  ...

CentiJ is a software synthesis system that, until recently, used synchronous, semiautomatic static proxy delegation to help in the automation of the creation of distributed Java programs on NOWS (Networks  ...  Multithreaded invocations to the remote code are executed on the master host. Callback is performed for each invocation so that returns can be supplied to the observers.  ...  Static delegation is delegation that is performed at compile time. CentiJ's static delegation technique generates Java source code that must be compiled to be used.  ...
