This article describes the current state of the art of high-performance computing systems, and attempts to shed light on near-future developments that might prolong the steady growth in speed of such systems  ...  We review the different ways devised to speed them up, both with regard to components and their architecture.  ...  Some bandwidths and latencies for various networks as measured with an MPI ping-pong test. μs can be achieved: well within the range of other network solutions.  ...

<span title="2017-11-13">2017</span>
One solution is the side-core approach to offload virtualisation I/O processing on a dedicated core, which offers close to bare-metal performance without sacrificing important virtualisation features.  ...  Server virtualisation is increasingly popular but still suffers from poor I/O performance. There are several methods to address the problem.  ...  . osu_latency uses blocking MPI communication functions and carry out a ping-pong test.  ...

Unfortunately estimation of the model parameters from the degraded sequence is hampered due to presence of noise, dirt and motion.  ...  (ii) The crux of successful image enhancement lies in the use of appropriate a priori information. (iii) Wherever possible, one should try to get good quality images to start with.  ...  and HPF+, which led to the results reported on in this paperthe financial support of the European Commission for those projects is also gratefully acknowledged.  ...
