2012 Future Internet
With the emergence of Web 2.0, new applications arise and evolve into more interactive forms of collective intelligence. These applications offer to both professionals and citizens an open and expanded access to geographic information. In this paper, we develop the conceptual foundations of a new technology solution called WikiGIS. WikiGIS's strength lies in its ability to ensure the traceability of changes in spatial-temporal geographic components (geometric location and shape, graphics:

2022 Energies
The operating conditions can have uncontrolled effects on the voltage of a High-Temperature Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (HT-PEMFC). For instance, the HT-PEMFC can be used at ambient pressure, i.e., without having a back pressure regulator. In this case, the variation in the atmospheric pressure directly affects pressures inside the fuel cell, which induces voltage variation. Moreover, in transient phases, several coupled phenomena can have an uncontrolled effect on the voltage. For
more » ... e, following a change in the current operating point, thermal conditions in the fuel cell can vary, and the temperature stabilization then leads to a voltage variation. This article introduces a readjustment method for the fuel cell voltage to compensate for the effects of the pressure and temperature variations that are undergone and to decouple their effects. This methodology is based on the realization of a design of experiments to characterize the voltage sensitivity to pressure ([1; 1.5 bar]) and temperature ([120; 180 °C]) between 0.2 and 1 A/cm2 of an Advent PBI MEA (formerly BASF Celtec®-P 1100 W). The data obtained allowed identifying an empirical model that takes into account the aging caused by the experiment. Finally, the methodology is criticized before proposing an alternative method.

2016 Medicine
Mitotane has been used for more than 5 decades as therapy for adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC). However its mechanism of action and the extent of tumor response remain incompletely understood. To date no cases of rapid and complete remission of metastatic ACC with mitotane monotherapy has been reported. A 52-year-old French Canadian man presented with metastatic disease 2 years following a right adrenalectomy for stage III nonsecreting ACC. He was started on mitotane which was well tolerated
more » ... te rapid escalation of the dose. The patient course was exceptional as he responded to mitotane monotherapy after only few months of treatment. Initiation of chemotherapy was not needed and he remained disease-free with good quality of life on low maintenance dose of mitotane during the following 10 years. A germline heterozygous TP53 exon 4 polymorphism c.215C>G (p. Pro72Arg) was found. Immunohistochemical stainings for IGF-2 and cytoplasmic b-catenin were positive. Advanced ACC is an aggressive disease with poor prognosis and the current therapeutic options remain limited. These findings suggest that mitotane is a good option for the treatment of metastatic ACC and might result in rapid complete remission in selected patients. Atherothrombotic plaques of type 2 diabetic (T2D) patients are characterized by an increased neovascularization and intraplaque hemorrhage. The clearance of erythrocytes may be carried out by vascular cells. We explored the potential of human endothelial cells to bind and phagocyte in vitro aged and/or glycated erythrocytes as well as erythrocytes obtained from diabetic patients.

To provide new insights into the FOXG1-related clinical and imaging phenotypes and refine the phenotype-genotype correlation in FOXG1 syndrome. We analyzed the clinical and imaging phenotypes of a cohort of 45 patients with a pathogenic or likely pathogenic FOXG1 variant and performed phenotype-genotype correlations. A total of 37 FOXG1 different heterozygous mutations were identified, of which 18 are novel. We described a broad spectrum of neurodevelopmental phenotypes, characterized by severe
more » ... postnatal microcephaly and developmental delay accompanied by a hyperkinetic movement disorder, stereotypes and sleep disorders, and epileptic seizures. Our data highlighted 3 patterns of gyration, including frontal pachygyria in younger patients (26.7%), moderate simplified gyration (24.4%) and mildly simplified or normal gyration (48.9%), corpus callosum hypogenesis mostly in its frontal part, combined with moderate-to-severe myelination delay that improved and normalized with age. Frameshift and nonsense mutations in the N-terminus of FOXG1, which are the most common mutation types, show the most severe clinical features and MRI anomalies. However, patients with recurrent frameshift mutations c.460dupG and c.256dupC had variable clinical and imaging presentations. These findings have implications for genetic counseling, providing evidence that N-terminal mutations and large deletions lead to more severe FOXG1 syndrome, although genotype-phenotype correlations are not necessarily straightforward in recurrent mutations. Together, these analyses support the view that FOXG1 syndrome is a specific disorder characterized by frontal pachygyria and delayed myelination in its most severe form and hypogenetic corpus callosum in its milder form.

This paper investigates the problem of latency estimation between an IMU (Inertial Motion Unit) and a LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging). The latency is due to the IMU itself, but also to the acquisition software and hardware configuration, which is generally set-up by survey systems users. We propose a method for latency estimation, and we show that this method meets the accuracy requirements of most LiDAR survey applications. We present test results of our method on various acquisition
more » ... s and hardware configuration which demonstrate that it is able to identify very accurately the total latency through a simple procedure. Our method does not require any positioning device, therefore it is independent of non modeled errors which may corrupt geolocalized data. Our method enable the user to estimate any LiDAR-IMU latency, in order to to optimize the configuration of a kinematic survey system and to enhance its robustness features with respect to high motion dynamics. We also propose a new boresight angle calibration method between LiDAR and IMU, and we estimate its accuracy and precision. As these two methods do not need any positioning data, they avoid the propagation of GPS errors into the calibration procedure.
