We investigate the electronic structure and magnetic properties of four quaternary Heusler alloys ZrMnVZ and ZrCoFeZ (Z=Si, Ge) by using first-principle calculations. It is shown that ZrMnVSi, ZrMnVGe and ZrCoFeSi are half-metallic ferromagnets with considerable half-metallic gaps of 0.14, 0.18 and 0.22 eV, respectively. ZrCoFeGe is a nearly half-metallic, the changes of properties for this alloy under pressure is investigated, the spin polarization of this alloy is 98.99\% at equilibrium lattice constant.

Half-metallic ferromagnetism in the RbSe and CsTe compounds with CsCl structure: A first-principles study [article]

We investigate the electronic structures and magnetic properties of RbSe and CsTe compounds in CsCl, RS and ZB structures by using first-principles calculation. It is shown that these two compounds exhibit half-metallic ferromagnetism with an integer magnetic moment of 1.00 μ_B per formula in all the three structures. Total energy calculations indicate the CsCl phase is more stable than the other two phases. We investigate these two compounds with CsCl structure in detail. The ferromagnetism
more » ... ults mainly from the spin-polarization of p states of anion Se (Te) for the two compounds. The half-metallicities of RbSe and CsTe compounds can be preserved up to 2.5% and 0.8% compression of lattice constants with respect to their equilibrium lattices, respectively.

Color Constancy with Derivative Colors [article]

Information about the illuminant color is well contained in both achromatic regions and the specular components of highlight regions. In this paper, we propose a novel way to achieve color constancy by exploiting such clues. The key to our approach lies in the use of suitably extracted derivative colors, which are able to compute the illuminant color robustly with kernel density estimation. more » ... ically straightforward, the success of our extraction in highlight regions is attributed to the different rates of variation of the diffuse and specular magnitudes in the dichromatic reflection model. The proposed approach requires no training phase and is simple to implement. More significantly, it performs quite satisfactorily under inter-database parameter settings. Our experiments on three standard databases demonstrate its effectiveness and fine performance in comparison to state-of-the-art methods.

The first-principle study on double perovskite compound Ba_2PrVO_6 has been presented in this paper. By analysing band structures and integrated density of states, it is found that Ba_2PrVO_6 is ferromagnetic metallic within LSDA and compensated half metallic whithin LSDA+U. According to the total and partial density of states, the anti-ferromagnetism of Ba_2PrVO_6 is originated from the spin down state Pr^4+ (4f_-2) and the spin up hybridized state between the partially filled t_2g state of V
more » ... nd the partially filled triple-degeneration state 4f_-1, 4f_+1, 4f_+3 of Pr. We have investigated the magnetic evaluation of Ba_2PrVO_6 through fixed spin moment calculations, and the results indicate that the compensated half-metallic state is the ground state. The thermodynamic properties of Ba_2PrVO_6 are also studied by employing the quasi-harmonic Debye model.

On the Phase Transition of Corrupted Sensing [article]

In FOY2014, a sharp phase transition has been numerically observed when a constrained convex procedure is used to solve the corrupted sensing problem. In this paper, we present a theoretical analysis for this phenomenon. Specifically, we establish the threshold below which this convex procedure fails to recover signal and corruption with high probability. Experimental Study on the Effect of Steel Plant's Natural Smoke

In a full-size large steel plant, we analyzed the temperature distribution, the decline rate of dust and the smoke effect in two cases. The results showed that: natural draft reduced the sinking rate from 0.43 cm/s to 0.35 cm/s, the horizontal spread speed was reduced from 38.87 cm/s down to 30.99 cm/s in the plant; The highest temperature of workshop roof reduced from 76 to 60 ; The layer height rose up from 3 m to 5 m, which made a greater affect on the visibility and it was more helpful for

Analyze the characteristic of smoke movement in the building, study on the rationality and validity of fire control system of the theatre. The fire protection of theatre is different from general building because of the special character of structure and the requirement of using function. With the development of economy, various special structures of building are emerge include the theatre. By forms a rich space level and architectural form, it makes an external image with effective in order, elegant environment, fresh style and modern construction aesthetic perception. The using function of theatre tends to diversification and the building area is also increase. The domestic and international research of theatre is focus on the auditorium, and lounge fire is neglected. The lounge is the necessary pathway which connects the auditorium and external exits. It is also the resting place for the audience, in the case of smaller area the fire risk is relatively lower. But for large theatre there are a lot of audience, it needs lounge with large area, while dining hall, cafe and other shops are generally arranged in the lounge and increase the fire load. When the area is beyond the requirement of code, exhaust system of the lounge will be difficult for fire safety design. Base on performance-based fire protection, exhaust system is designed and the lounge fire is modeled with fire simulate software FDS. It is of great theoretical and realistic significance to correct understood the objective of fire protection and the method of exhaust system design.
