Conformally Schwarzschild cosmological black holes [article]

2022 arXiv   pre-print
We thoroughly investigate conformally Schwarzschild spacetimes in different coordinate systems to seek for physically reasonable models of a cosmological black hole. We assume that a conformal factor depends only on the time coordinate and the spacetime is asymptotically flat Friedmann-Lemaître-Robertson-Walker universe filled by a perfect fluid obeying a linear equation state p=wρ with w>-1/3. In this class of spacetimes, the McClure-Dyer spacetime, constructed in terms of the isotropic
more » ... ates, and the Thakurta spacetime, constructed in terms of the standard Schwarzschild coordinates, are identical and do not describe a cosmological black hole. In contrast, the Sultana-Dyer class of spacetimes, constructed in terms of the Kerr-Schild coordinates, describe a cosmological black hole and the corresponding matter field can be interpreted as a combination of a homogeneous perfect fluid and an inhomogeneous null fluid, which is valid everywhere in the spacetime unlike Sultana and Dyer's interpretation. The Culetu spacetime, constructed in terms of the Painlevé-Gullstrand coordinates, also describes a cosmological black hole and the corresponding matter field can be interpreted as a combination of a homogeneous perfect fluid and an inhomogeneous anisotropic fluid. It turns out, however, that in both the Sultana-Dyer and Culetu spacetimes, the total energy-momentum tensor violates all the standard energy conditions at a finite value of the radial coordinate in sufficiently late times.

Figure 1 . CT image of the brain shows high dense lesions in both temporal tips at 6 days after onset of HSE. Herpes simplex virus (HSV)causes severe acute encephalitis with occasional hemorrhagic changes in the unilateral temporal lobe. Werecently treated a case of acute herpes simplex encephalitis (HSE) with bilateral temporal lobe hemorrhage. A 55-year-old womanwas admitted to our hospital suffering from confusion and continuous headache. Neurological examination revealed meningeal sign,

Acute HSEwas suspected. HSVDNAwas detected in the cerebrospinal fluid by PCR tests. On the sixth day after admission, computed tomography (CT) and MRIstudies of the brain revealed hemorrhagic changes in both temporal lobes. The patient was treated with acyclovir at a dosage of 1,500 mg/day for 14 days from admission, but dementia remained. Hemorrhagic changes in both temporal lobes are atypical findings in HSEcases.

Linear relations of Ohno sums of multiple zeta values [article]

2019 arXiv   pre-print
Ohno's relation is a well-known family of relations among multiple zeta values, which can naturally be regarded as a type of duality for a certain power series which we call an Ohno sum. In this paper, we investigate Q-linear relations among Ohno sums which are not contained in Ohno's relation. We prove two new families of such relations, and pose several further conjectural families of such relations.

Land Cover Analysis Using Fine Resolution Satellite Data and GIS Data

2002 Journal of Asian Architecture and Building Engineering
Normalized vegetation index (NVI) and albedo are computed using the fine resolution satellite remote sensing data. The characteristics on their frequency distributions for corresponding land uses are analyzed by superimposing the Detailed Digital Information on them. The frequency distributions generated by raw data in 10m meshes under consideration are compared to these made by the averaged data in each 10m meshes which seems to represent the popular course resolution satellite remote sensing

The characteristics on the frequency distributions of NVI and albedo for individual land uses are examined, and these for the raw value of 4m mesh are shown to be almost similar to those for the averaged value in 10m mesh. However in some land use categories, the specific materials of land cover contained in the categories are found to enlarge the standard deviation.

2015 Journal of Physical Therapy Science
Purpose] The purpose of this study was to clarify the benefits of early mobilization for mechanically ventilated patients for their survival to discharge to home from the hospital. [Subjects and Methods] Medical records were retrospectively analyzed of patients who satisfied the following criteria: age ≥ 18 years; performance status 0-2 and independent living at their home before admission; mechanical ventilation for more than 48 h; and survival after mechanical ventilation. Mechanically
more » ... ted patients in the early mobilization (EM) group (n = 48) received mobilization therapy, limb exercise and chest physiotherapy, whereas those in the control group (n = 60) received bed rest alone. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed to identify clinical variables associated with discharge disposition. [Results] Early mobilization was a positive independent factor and the presence of neurological deficits was a negative factor contributing to discharge to home. Among patients surviving mechanical ventilation without neurological deficits, the rate of discharge to home was significantly higher among patients in the EM group that in the control group (76% vs. 40%). [Conclusion] Early mobilization can improve the rate of discharge to home of patients requiring mechanical ventilation because of non-neurological deficits.
