In this paper, we consider random walk in random environment on Z^d (d≥1) and prove the Strassen's strong invariance principle for this model, via martingale argument and the theory of fractional coboundaries of Derriennic and Lin DL, under some conditions which require the variance of the quenched mean has a subdiffusive bound. The results partially fill the gaps between law of large numbers and central limit theorems.

Compared with biomechanical test, FF showed negative correlation with break stress and elastic modulus. It also suggested that loss of bone mass was accompanied with the increase of adipose tissue content in vertebrae bone marrow. The impairment of bone strength leads to the risk of brittle fracture. Positron emission tomography (PET) with 18 F-fluorodeoxyglucose ( 18 F-FDG) is widely used in the management of lung adenocarcinoma. Pyruvate kinase M2 (PKM2) plays a key role in glycolysis. We therefore investigated whether PKM2 expression affects 18 F-FDG uptake in a retrospective analysis of 76 patients who underwent 18 F-FDG PET/computed tomography (CT) scans for staging before surgical resection. We found that PKM2 expression was higher in tumors than peritumoral tissue (p < 0.05).

Comparison of the primary tumor maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax) between patients with high and low PKM2 expression revealed that the SUVmax was higher in primary tumors with high PKM2 expression than low PKM2 expression (p < 0.05). Multivariate analysis confirmed the association between SUVmax and PKM2 expression (p < 0.05). PKM2 status was predicted with 81.6% accuracy when the SUVmax cutoff value of 6.4. Thus, 18 F-FDG PET/CT is predictive of the PKM2 status in lung adenocarcinoma patients and could aid in determining therapeutic strategies.

... ng HCAHPS surveys, we produced a Chinese version of the Child HCAHPS. A two-month field test with seven hospitals across five provinces in China was performed to assess its validity. Construct validity was assessed using confirmatory factor analysis. We evaluated convergent validity by factor loading, average variance extracted (AVE), and construct reliability (CR). Cronbach's alpha and corrected item-total correlation (CITC) were used to reflect hospital-level unit reliabilities for the survey's item composites. The correlation of the measure score with the overall rating was calculated to evaluate criterion validity. An overall response rate of 63% was achieved, and 2,258 respondents completed the questionnaire. Confirmatory factor analysis showed a comparative fit index (CFI) of 0.905, a non-normed fix index of 0.886, and a root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA) of 0.089. Most items had factor loadings over 0.7. Cronbach's alpha coefficient on the overall level was 0.981, and all measures' CITC exceeded 0.6, demonstrating good to excellent hospital-level reliability of the composite and single-item measures. All composite measures had good to excellent internal consistency reliability (0.716 to 0.994). Item-to-composite correlation ranged from 0.510 to 0.997. Composite-to-composite correlations ranged from 0.488 to 0.997. According to the survey result, for all the 18 composite or single-item measures, mean top-box scores ranged from 56% ("Involving teens in care") to 87% ("Informed in Emergency Room"). The Chinese version of the Child HCAHPS demonstrated acceptable validity and reliability. The application of this tool can help benchmark ongoing healthcare improvement initiatives in China.

We found that 31 miRNAs are upregulated in gastric cancer(P<0.05)and 10 miRNAs have never been reported by other studies; 30 miRNA are downregulated(P<0.05)in gastric cancer tissues. The levels of has-miR-105, -213*, -514b, and -548n were tested by real-time PCR and have high levels in cancerous tissues. Here, we report a miRNA profile of gastric cancer and provide new perspective to understand this malignant disease. This novel information suggests the potential roles of these miRNAs in the diagnosis, prognosis biomarkers, or therapy targets of gastric cancer.
