Eventually, a complete 40 GHz frequency synthesizer is demonstrated in 90 nm CMOS technology. It is targeted at a 60 GHz super-heterodyne transceiver for high-data-rate communication application.  ...  It achieves an 8.9 % tuning range and a -96.7 dBc/Hz phase noise at 1 MHz offset, while consuming only 1.65 mW power.
