EOSC-Pillar MS26: Communications Proof of Concept between NAKALA and HAL

Adeline Joffres, Nicolas Larrousse, Yannick Barborini, Bénédicte Kuntziger
2020 Zenodo
This deliverable specifies the development of the proof of concept (POC) which will allow the linking of publications deposited in HAL (including its HAL-SHS portal), the French open archive developed by the CCSD, and data or datasets deposited in Nakala developed by Huma-num, the French research data repository for SSH data. It describes the workflow to be set up between the two repositories, the creation of the bidirectional relationship between publications and data, prospection for the

This document, in its first version being associated to M25 aims now at identifying and keeping updated a list of tools already available and consider of some help within the EOSC-Pillar project in the process to make/create FAIR data. The list of tools presented and discussed come from a survey of several materials (online document/ deliverables from other project / web resources/ recent papers, suggestions from WP6 use-cases and community). Classification here proposed is based on several

EOSC-Pillar D5.8 Training Plan Update

2021 Zenodo
This document describes the revised activity plan for Task 5.4 "Training modules on FAIR-oriented research data management tools and solutions", as well as the methodology, the selected specific training themes and the type of delivered and planned events. The plan is drafted in accordance with EOSC-Pillar objective 03 ("O3 - Co-ordinate with other initiatives to achieve harmonisation across different regions, countries, and transnational research communities to build a truly inclusive EOSC")
more » ... d 04 ("O4 - Promote the uptake of FAIR data practices and services at national levels and across scientific communities and national borders"). This deliverable is an updated version of "D5.3 - Training Plan", which was substantially changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. Whereas the themes substantially remained the same, the methodology was strongly adapted to focus on specific scientific communities and different profiles within research performing organisations. This new methodology was supported by the collaboration with institutions and Research Infrastructures in the planning and delivery of the training events. The new approach is proved successful and indicators are reported to demonstrate the performance achieved. The objective of delivering at least 10 training courses on data management shared tools and solutions was achieved. EOSC-Pillar collaborated jointly with a number of projects, initiatives, organisations and Research Infrastructures to deliver training events and engage the EOSC community. Indicators presented in this deliverable show that EOSC-Pillar managed to train and engage more than 1000 participants between M1 and M18 since its start.

Asynchronous optical sampling with arbitrary detuning between laser repetition rates

Laura Antonucci, Xavier Solinas, Adeline Bonvalet, Manuel Joffre
2012 Optics Express
A method of asynchronous optical sampling based on freerunning lasers with no requirement on the repetition rates is presented. The method is based on the a posteriori determination of the delay between each pair of pulses. A resolution better than 400 fs over 13 ns total delay scan is demonstrated. In addition to the advantages of conventional asynchronous sampling techniques, this method allows a straightforward implementation on already-existing laser systems using a fiber-based setup and an appropriate acquisition procedure.

Removing cross-phase modulation from midinfrared chirped-pulse upconversion spectra

Kevin F. Lee, Patrick Nuernberger, Adeline Bonvalet, Manuel Joffre
2009 Optics Express
We observe that narrow spectral features in mid-infrared spectra obtained by chirped-pulse up-conversion are strongly distorted by crossphase modulation between the mid-infrared field and the chirped pulse. We discuss the consequences of this effect on spectral resolution, and introduce a correction method that recovers masked lines. This simple correction can be applied either when the upconverted field is fully characterized, such as in multidimensional spectroscopy, or when causality can be

Unobtrusive interferometer tracking by path length oscillation for multidimensional spectroscopy

Kevin F. Lee, Adeline Bonvalet, Patrick Nuernberger, Manuel Joffre
2009 Optics Express
We track the path difference between interferometer arms with few-nanometer accuracy without adding optics to the beam path. We measure the interference of a helium-neon beam that copropagates through the interferometer with midinfrared pulses used for multidimensional spectroscopy. This can indicate motion, but not direction. By oscillating the path length of one arm with a mirror on a piezoelectric stack and monitoring the oscillations of the recombined helium-neon beam, the direction can be

Arbitrary-detuning asynchronous optical sampling pump-probe spectroscopy of bacterial reaction centers

Laura Antonucci, Adeline Bonvalet, Xavier Solinas, Michael R. Jones, Marten H. Vos, Manuel Joffre
2013 Optics Letters
A recently-reported variant of asynchronous optical sampling compatible with arbitrary unstabilized laser repetition rates is applied to pump-probe spectroscopy. This makes possible the use of a 5.1-MHz chirped pulse oscillator as the pump laser, thus extending the available time window to almost 200 ns with a time resolution as good as about 320 fs. The method is illustrated with the measurement in a single experiment of the complete charge transfer dynamics of the reaction center from Rhodobacter sphaeroides.
