Abstract
A presentation on a social project aimed at combatting the energy crisis and waste management issue in Kenya. The project proposes the conversion of agricultural waste into carbonized biomass briquettes as an alternative to other fuels like charcoal and firewood, which release harmful gases and encourage deforestation. The presentation covers the current technologies used to produce briquettes, the viability of different biomass materials as well as the market demand for briquettes in Kenya and the financial costs.
