Abstract

- Article provides an overview of the current state of development of regional policy in the European Union, which compares with developments in the countries of the Rose Group (Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland) - it informs about the possibilities of regional, structural and cohesion European Union policy - objectives and instruments of regional policy in the programming period 2007 – 2013 - What is NUTS regions and cohesion. in all countries analyzed evaluates and compares economic regions according to objective level verifiable indicators. They include gross domestic product (GDP) in purchasing power parity (PPP) 1 per capita and unemployment levels - work describes the strategies, objectives, instruments, program and institutional framework of regional policy in individual countries.
