Abstract
The effects of a swirled inflow on turbulent jet laden with acetone droplets injected in fresh air are investigated by means of direct numerical simulation. The numerical framework is based on a hybrid EulerianLagrangian approach, and the point droplet approximation. Both a phenomenological and a statistical analysis of both phases are presented. The sensitivity of the evaporation processes to swirl are discussed.
