  abstractNote={The BR-319 highway was on the government's agenda in different historical times and a number of aspects occurred and are ongoing in relation to this connection between the regional capitals of Manaus / AM and Porto Velho / AM. In this context, this text aims to point out four aspects referring to this road connection with notes on the construction, operation of flows, abandonment and the reactivation of the highway in the second decade of the 21st century. For methodological purposes, the research was based on historical surveys through newspapers, books and magazines, including fieldwork along the highway between the years 2014 to 2019. The need to make these notes is necessary for the historical rescue and the recent transformations based on a critical analysis.},
