Abstract

RESUMEN: El artículo presenta brevemente las luchas por el reconocimiento de sus derechos que las comunidades indígenas u originarias han ido desarrollando a lo largo del proceso de constitución de la sociedad y el estado ecuatorianos. Al mismo tiempo, presenta las inclusiones en señal de reconocimiento de los derechos colectivos en la elaboración de las constituciones políticas ecuatorianas de 1998 y 2008. Finalmente, incluye un conjunto de reflexiones que permite identificar las tareas pendientes para la aplicación de los derechos colectivos de las nacionalidades originarias e indígenas en el Ecuador. COLLECTIVE RIGHTS AND THE ABORIGINAL NATIONALITIES IN ECUADOR ABSTRACT: The article presents in brief the struggles for the recognition of its rights, which the native communities have been developing along the process of constitution of society and state in Ecuador. At the same time, presents the inclusions in signal of recognition of the collective rights in the political constitutions of Ecuador from 1998 and 2008. Finally, includes a group of reflections which allows identifying the pending tasks for the application of the collective rights held by the aboriginal nations and native nationalities of Ecuador.
