Abstract

O objetivo central deste artigo é identificar aspectos na obra Kiriku e a feiticeira (Michel Ocelot, 1998) que favorecem na compreensão da cultura africana, especialmente no que diz respeito à desconstrução de estereótipos e preconceitos. A análise se baseia em trechos do filme no intuito de identificar aspectos centrais que favorecem uma leitura crítica do mundo, como a desconstrução do mito do herói Ocidental que costumamos ver no cinema para a massa. Na obra analisada encontramos elementos fundamentais para a compreensão do universo mítico e cultural relacionado aos povos africanos e suas formas de enfrentamento dos problemas vivenciados, como o preconceito e o racismo, ao longo do tempo, que remetem a desconstrução de estigmas e de estereótipos propulsores do racismo, do preconceito e da discriminação.   PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Kiriku e a feiticeira; cultura africana; cultura.       ABSTRACT This article is about ideology, construction of stereotypes and forms of  fight against prejudice and racism from the film work: Kiriku and the Sorceress(Michel Ocelot, 1988).  The central objective is to identify aspects in the work Kiriku and the Sorceress that favor the understanding of African culture, especially with regard to the deconstruction of stereotypes and prejudice. The analyses is based on excerpts from the film in order to identify central aspects that favor a critical reading of the world, like the deconstruction of the myth of the western hero we usually see in the commercial cinema. In the analyzed work we find fundamental elements for the understanding of the mythical and cultural universe related to the african peoples and their ways of coping with the problems experienced, such as prejudice and racism, over time, which refer to deconstruction of stigmas and stereotypes of racism, prejudice and discrimination.   KEYWORDS:  Kiriku and the sorceress; African culture; culture.    RESUMEN Este artículo trata de ideología, construcción de estereotipos y formas de enfrentamiento al prejuicio [...]
