Abstract

Dysgonia algira (Linnaeus, 1767), a new species for the Polish fauna (Lepidoptera: Erebidae). Erebid moth Dysgonia algira (Linnaeus, 1767) was found in Beskid Niski Mts. and in Jasielskie Foothills in the southeastern part of Poland. There are two first observations of this species in Poland. The distribution in Central and North Europe and biology of this species are discussed.
