Abstract
Excerpt from the report: Part I of this Handbook gives information for each of 23 major regional farm supply cooperatives in the United States for their fiscal years ending in 1954 and 1955. These associations each normally do more than $5 million of farm supply business annually. They are listed according to the amount of their total wholesale and retail supply business for 1955. Although there is wide variation in the forms of organization, methods of operation, and accounting and reporting practices followed by these associations, effort has been made to present information on a comparable basis. Part II summarizes information for the group for 1954 and 1955.
