Managerial competencies\nlike goal setting and team building are taken as independent variables, where\nas leadership style is mediating variable and job satisfaction as dependent\nmeasures. The data were collected from 307 executives of banking sector in\nWest Bengal, India. The data were analyzed using Statistical Package for\nSocial Sciences (SPSS) version 15.0. The analyses of the same were carried\nout using correlation and multiple regressions analysis techniques. The results\nrevealed that these managerial competencies had significantly predicted job\nsatisfaction indicating their positive association with satisfaction. It was also\nfound that the appropriate leadership style had significantly mediated the\nrelationship of managerial competencies and job satisfaction. The findings\ntried to establish that the management should adopt transformational style of\nleadership to facilitate better performance, where the managers can use these\ncompetencies to enhance performance and a higher level of job satisfaction.', 'mimetype': 'text/plain', 'lang': 'en'}
