Abstract

Space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) is one of the advance computational preferred real-time modulation techniques, possibly the most suitable amongst other PWM technique for variable frequency drive application. Major advantage of SVPWM Technique is the degree of freedom of space vector placement in a switching cycle which reduces the harmonic content in voltage also increases the fundamental output voltage and smooth's the control of Induction motor. This Technique has wide application in recent year for digital control of voltage source inverters and provides better DC bus utilization. This Paper Presents theoretical analysis, switching states & Modelling of Space vector Pulse width modulation technique for voltage source inverter fed three phase induction motor using MATLAB/SIMULINK Software.
